Lee DeWyze sings “Hallelujah” on American Idol Top 3 Show

Lee DeWyze sings “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen, and made famous by Jeff Buckley, on the American Idol Season 9 Top 3 Showdown. Idols sang two songs tonight, one of their own choosing and one judge's pick. Simon Cowell says he chose "Hallelujah" because he thinks Lee could have a “moment” with the song.

  1. After watching the original song, I think you did a awesome job. You totally made that song so much better the way you sang it. Keep going in the direction you are going and things will work out.

  3. Have to say that I never enjoyed listening to an American Idol contestant as much as you. Then to add your personality (humble yet confident) just adds to the "like factor."

Listening to James Morrison today and hearing, "If you don't wanna love me" all I thought about was you singing this song...would be great. Keep it up and all the best!
